RRB JE 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
To apply for the RRB Junior Engineer exam, you must have completed an engineering diploma or degree from a recognized institute in India. Please check the official notification for more details on which branches are accepted.
Age Limit
As per the RRB JE official Notification 2025, the minimum prescribed age to apply for the RRB JE exam was 18 years, and the prescribed maximum age (as on 01.01.2025) was 36 years.

Application Fee for RRB JE Exam
To apply for the RRB Junior Engineer (JE) post, candidates need to pay a specific amount as an application fee. The fee can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI. You can choose any one of these payment methods to pay the fee.
Unreserved Categories – Rs. 500/-
SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC – Rs. 250/-
Important Note: Only candidates who attend the 1st stage CBT will get a refund of their examination fee as mentioned below.
- Rs. 250 (after deduction of applicable bank charges) – for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority, and EBC candidates.
- Rs. 400 (after deduction of applicable bank charges) – for candidates belonging to the Unreserved category.
RRB JE Exam Selection Procedure
The RRB-JE recruitment process shall comprise of the following 4 stages:
- Stage – 1: Computer-Based Test – 1 (CBT – 1)
- Stage – 2: Computer-Based Test – 2 (CBT – 2)
- Stage – 3: Document verification
